The Government of El Salvador, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with Spain’s Formato Educativo Business School, has awarded 30 scholarships for virtual master’s programs in fields such as Executive Leadership, Business Administration, Environmental Management, and Human Resources. The one-year programs also offer the opportunity for a one-week internship in Madrid upon completion.

The scholarships were granted based on national priorities identified by the El Salvador Agency for International Cooperation (ESCO), aiming to enhance strategic capacities in 13 professional areas.

“These scholarships are not only opportunities for you, but they will also contribute to the country’s development across the various fields you have chosen,” stated William Deleón, ESCO’s Deputy Director. He emphasized President Nayib Bukele’s commitment to advancing education through effective scholarship management.

At the same event, 34 scholarship recipients from last year were officially bid farewell before traveling to Spain, where they will join around 600 peers from nearly 40 countries for a cultural and academic exchange. “I have no doubt that through your journey, you will also become ambassadors of El Salvador. It is a great responsibility, but also a unique opportunity to showcase the warmth of this land,” said Alfonso Pérez Hernández, Minister Counselor at the Embassy of Spain in El Salvador.
