The Government of El Salvador has announced a comprehensive modernization plan for the iconic Los Chorros Resort, to be carried out alongside a major road infrastructure project in the region. The announcement was made by Minister of Public Works, Romeo Rodríguez Herrera, via his official channel.

This initiative is part of the ongoing Los Chorros Highway expansion and the construction of the Francisco Morazán Viaduct, one of the country’s most ambitious infrastructure efforts aimed at improving connectivity and traffic flow on one of El Salvador’s busiest routes.
“As part of the road expansion and construction of the viaduct in Los Chorros, the resort in the area will be remodeled,” Minister Herrera stated. He emphasized that the goal is to provide better conditions for visitors while aligning the tourism sector with national development plans.
The modernization of Los Chorros Resort, a popular recreational destination known for its natural spring water and scenic views, reflects a broader governmental strategy to integrate sustainable tourism with modern infrastructure. The project is expected to enhance the visitor experience, boost local economic opportunities, and position the resort as a revitalized attraction for both national and international tourists.
This dual-purpose investment highlights the country’s commitment to infrastructure development and tourism revitalization, reinforcing El Salvador’s ongoing transformation under the current administration.
