Maná’s Alex González Applauds El Salvador’s Progress and Bright Future for Its Youth.

Celebrated drummer Alex González of the legendary Mexican rock band Maná has joined a growing chorus of international voices praising El Salvador’s transformation. During his recent visit to the country, González highlighted the remarkable improvements in public safety and expressed hope for the nation’s next generation.

“They have everything to be a great country,” González stated during a public appearance in San Salvador. “You have to start little by little, put your house in order, and then everything else will flow.”

Having visited El Salvador during more difficult times, González remarked on the stark contrast he now experiences. “I came when El Salvador wasn’t safe, and I felt safe. So imagine how I feel now,” he noted. He praised the current atmosphere of peace and renewed confidence among the population, saying, “People have the freedom to go out, to run their businesses, to make investments, to walk the streets, not to be afraid.”

The drummer also emphasized the importance of safeguarding the future of Salvadoran youth, reflecting on the country’s past challenges and newfound opportunities. “Knowing everything that has happened and what the people of El Salvador have suffered—between the civil war and insecurity—seeing a new El Salvador, this new generation, this new youth has a spectacular future. Really, take advantage of it and take care of it,” he urged.

González’s comments came during the official launch event of his premium tequila brand, Mala Vida, now available at Craft Ice & Spirits and soon to be featured in restaurants and bars across El Salvador.

With its improved security, growing economy, and vibrant cultural scene, El Salvador continues to gain attention as a rising destination for international investors, tourists, and artists alike.
