El Salvador continues to strengthen its image as a safe and attractive destination for international events. Today, the Ministry of Tourism (MITUR) joined the Salvadoran Sailing Federation (Fesavela) in a press conference to announce the launch of the Fesavela International Regatta 2025, held at the scenic Lake Ilopango.
The opening ceremony was led by Tourism Minister Morena Valdez, accompanied by Armando Bruni, President of the Salvadoran Olympic Committee, and Rodrigo Colorado, President of Fesavela. The event marks a significant milestone in the country’s efforts to promote sports tourism and international cooperation.
“This regatta is not only a sporting event but also a celebration of our country’s natural beauty and growing international presence,” said Valdez during her speech.
The Fesavela International Regatta 2025 is expected to draw competitors and spectators from around the world, reinforcing El Salvador’s commitment to becoming a hub for global sporting events under President Nayib Bukele’s administration.
