The rapid growth of the construction sector has positioned the country as an attractive destination for international companies specializing in construction materials. Businesses from Colombia, Panama, China, and Miami, among others, have entered the market, boosting the industry’s expansion.
Guillermo Noubleau, director of MULTICOM and organizer of Expo El Constructor 2025, highlighted the sector’s dynamic growth, attributing it in part to the arrival of companies supplying essential materials such as roofing, flooring, and cement. “Investment in the construction sector is very positive thanks to the security promoted by the Government, which has laid the foundation for the country’s economic growth,” Noubleau stated during the event, held on March 25 and 26.
At least 15 new companies from Colombia, Panama, Mexico, the United States, and Spain have recently established operations in El Salvador. Noubleau cited a Colombian firm that, after operating in Mexico, chose El Salvador due to the promising opportunities available.
The surge in real estate development is evident, with approximately 60 vertical buildings currently under construction nationwide—30 of them in San Salvador alone. This high demand is driving increased investment in construction materials, architecture, and services, further strengthening the national economy.
Expo El Constructor 2025 served as a key platform for the industry, bringing together over 80 companies that showcased more than 1,000 products. Additionally, 40 experts shared insights on industry trends, fostering knowledge exchange and innovation within the Salvadoran construction sector.
