El Salvador’s Coffee Captivates Melbourne Expo Visitors.

El Salvador took center stage at the Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE) 2025, held from March 20 to 22 at the Melbourne Convention Centre in Australia. The country’s participation, coordinated by the Salvadoran Embassy in Australia, aimed to promote its renowned coffee in the competitive Australian market.

The event was organized in collaboration with the embassies of Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Guatemala, with the support of the Australia-Latin America Business Council (ALABC). MICE, an annual gathering that attracts an average of 11,000 visitors from around the world, serves as a key platform for networking among café owners, roasters, equipment manufacturers, and service providers. It offers an invaluable opportunity for coffee-producing nations like El Salvador to expand their global reach.

During the expo, the Salvadoran delegation, alongside the Salvadoran Coffee Institute, actively promoted the country’s high-quality coffee. Their efforts focused on strengthening El Salvador’s position in the Australian market and establishing business connections with importers to explore future trade opportunities.

El Salvador’s stand featured an exhibition of its coffee, where visitors had the chance to experience firsthand the quality and flavor of the nation’s signature product. Attendees were offered tastings and detailed information on the origins, production process, and unique characteristics of Salvadoran coffee.

An official from the Salvadoran Embassy emphasized the importance of this participation, stating, “This expo allows us to highlight El Salvador’s exceptional coffee and build relationships that could lead to long-term trade agreements. Australia is an emerging market with a strong coffee culture, making it an ideal destination for our product.”

By taking part in MICE 2025, El Salvador continues to expand its presence in the international coffee industry, strengthening its reputation as a producer of premium-quality beans. The country’s participation underscores its commitment to promoting its coffee sector and securing new commercial partnerships worldwide.
