Luxury Hotel Inaugurated in San Salvador’s Historic Center with $6 Million Investment.

San Salvador has welcomed a new high-end accommodation option with the grand opening of Cardedeu Hotel Centro Histórico. Located in the heart of the capital, the hotel represents an investment of approximately $6 million and is set to provide a luxurious stay for both national and international tourists, as well as business travelers and diplomats.

The hotel boasts 31 elegantly furnished rooms, designed to offer a premium experience. Among them, six suites feature direct views of the Historic Center, while other rooms are available in both single and double occupancy. Each room is equipped with modern amenities, including safes and high-end furnishings, ensuring a comfortable stay.

Gabriela Sol, CEO of Cardedeu Hotel, emphasized during the opening event that the hotel maintains a balance between luxury and history. The building, known as Edificio Colón, has stood for over a century and was previously a theater. The restoration efforts have preserved key historical elements, such as the original theater curtains and high ceilings, enhancing the ambiance while ensuring a secure and modernized environment.

“The Edificio Colón is reborn today as Cardedeu Hotel Centro Histórico. We have respected its historical essence while adapting it for contemporary guests. Every detail has been designed to create an experience that connects the past with the present,” Sol stated.

In addition to its sophisticated accommodations, the hotel offers an exceptional culinary experience with two unique dining options: Restaurante Silvestre, which features a fresh and high-quality concept, and CEACHE Rooftop Gastrobar, providing guests with an exclusive gastronomic experience.

Sol also acknowledged the positive impact of the Salvadoran government’s initiatives under President Nayib Bukele, particularly in terms of security improvements and urban renewal projects in the capital. These changes have contributed to a surge in tourism, further encouraging investments such as Cardedeu Hotel.

“We want every guest to feel the essence of the Historic Center, to turn their stay into a journey through time. Cardedeu is not just a hotel; it is an experience,” Sol concluded.
