The General Consulate of El Salvador in Tapachula, Mexico, is taking part in the Tapachula Expo Fair 2025 to promote the country’s national art and position it as a cultural and tourist destination.
The event, which runs from March 7 to 16 at the Expo Feria Tap campus in Los Naranjos, Tapachula, Chiapas, has been a longstanding tradition for 63 years. Every year, it attracts more followers and business partners, strengthening its social, cultural, entertainment, and commercial influence. This year, the fair is dedicated to promoting culture and art while offering various activities for children and adolescents.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of events, including gastronomy showcases, cultural performances, sports activities, agricultural product sales, livestock exhibitions, artistic presentations, and interactive games.
As part of its participation, El Salvador set up a stand featuring the exhibition “Landscapes, Monuments, and Sites” by Salvadoran painter Andrés Guardado. The collection invites attendees to explore the Historic Center of San Salvador through paintings that depict the city’s monuments, plazas, and architectural heritage. Using subdued colors, the artist evokes a sense of serenity that allows viewers to appreciate the beauty of these iconic sites.

Additionally, the Salvadoran delegation presented a performance by the Compañía Folklore de El Salvador, a dance group whose repertoire showcases folkloric traditions from the country’s central, western, and eastern regions.
With the support of the National Council for Early Childhood, Children, and Adolescents (CONAPINA), the event also includes a special recreational area for Salvadoran children living abroad and the general public.

The Tapachula Expo Fair 2025 is organized by the Mesoamerican Fair Patronage of Chiapas in collaboration with the Chiapas Secretariat of Culture. This year’s primary focus is on promoting art and culture, making it an ideal platform for El Salvador to highlight its rich heritage.
