El Salvador continues to attract foreign investment as Avenue Stone, Floor and Decor, a company specializing in decorative finishes and construction materials, has opened its second store in the country. This expansion was made possible through efforts by the Embassy of El Salvador in Washington, D.C., along with coordinated work from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other government agencies.

The company, founded over 20 years ago in New York, first entered the Salvadoran market two years ago with a sales showroom in San Miguel. Encouraged by the country’s improved security environment and the government’s investment-friendly policies under President Nayib Bukele, Avenue Stone, Floor and Decor is now expanding its presence with a new location in San Salvador.

Driven by the increasing demand for construction materials amid the sector’s growth, the company invested approximately $8 million in this new venture. The investment has also created 60 direct jobs, with the company’s representatives highlighting further expansion plans in the near future.

The company’s journey in El Salvador began in October 2021, when Salvadoran entrepreneur Ángel Blanco and his American business partner Boaz Spitz first engaged with the Embassy of El Salvador in Washington, D.C. With support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, they successfully established their first store in San Miguel in 2022.

“I met Ambassador Milena Mayorga at an event with my business partner, and that gave us the confidence to invest in El Salvador. Things are going well, we are growing, and to better serve the country, we are now here in San Salvador,” said Boaz Spitz, co-owner of the company.

Napoléon Ramírez, the company’s manager, emphasized the success they have experienced in eastern El Salvador. “The eastern region of the country has brought us great results. We saw the opportunity, people are responding well, and that led us to open this new store so they can see the types of accessories we are offering,” he stated.

With this expansion, Avenue Stone, Floor and Decor strengthens its commitment to El Salvador’s growing construction sector, reinforcing the country’s position as an attractive destination for international investment.
