El Salvador’s renowned coffee continues to make a global impact, with the recent success of Coyote Coffee in Kyoto, Japan. The café, owned by Yusuke Kadokawa, exclusively imports and serves Café de El Salvador, showcasing the country’s high-quality beans to Japanese coffee lovers.
Kadokawa, who participated in a program by @jica_direct_en to learn about the process of Salvadoran coffee, is now a proud advocate for the rich flavors of El Salvador’s golden grain. His three Coyote Coffee branches in Kyoto offer a selection of Salvadoran coffee, including varieties from the Alotepec-Metapán region and the popular Pacamara variety, which have quickly become favorites in Japan.
In addition to offering specialty coffee from Chalatenango, Kadokawa’s new branch features a stunning interior inspired by the indigo hues of El Salvador’s beauty. The process to bring this vision to life was long, but the result is a beloved space dedicated to the rich tradition of Salvadoran coffee.
“This is a place where coffee and a happy heart meet,” said Kadokawa. With growing demand in Japan and a passion for Salvadoran coffee, Coyote Coffee is making waves, one cup at a time. ☕🌱
