El Salvador Strengthens Cooperation with Japan and Showcases National Coffee in Kyoto.

The Embassy of El Salvador in Japan recently held a productive working agenda in Tokyo, fostering significant engagements with representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). These meetings aimed to strengthen ongoing cooperation programs between the two nations, focusing on scholarships and volunteer initiatives.

As part of the visit, embassy officials toured “Coyote Coffee” in Kyoto, owned by Yasuke Kadokawa, who was introduced to El Salvador’s renowned coffee through a JICA program. Kadokawa now imports El Salvador’s premium coffee beans exclusively to Japan, distributing them through his Kyoto-based coffee chain, further solidifying the bond between the two countries.
