Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele has been ranked as the best-rated global leader by Chileans, with a remarkable 82% positive image, according to the latest survey data released by polling firm Cadem. This marks a slight improvement from the previous poll, where his approval rating was 81%.
Bukele’s leadership continues to resonate strongly with Chilean citizens, with 36% of respondents expressing a preference for a Chilean president who mirrors Bukele’s leadership style—though this figure shows a slight dip of 6 percentage points compared to the previous survey.

Cadem highlighted Bukele’s consistent high approval, stating, «Nayib Bukele continues to lead as the head of state best evaluated by Chileans, with 82% (+1 point) of positive image, and 36% (-6pts) would like the next president to have a similar style.»
In contrast, the survey also revealed that the least popular global leaders among Chileans are Russian President Vladimir Putin, with a 20% approval rating, and Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, who received a mere 2% approval.
The survey underscores President Bukele’s growing international popularity and his continued positive image in global leader evaluations.
