Among the countries recommended by Wanderlust are Canada, Brazil, Colombia, Germany, and Qatar, with each destination offering unique experiences. The magazine emphasized that visiting these countries provides travelers with the opportunity to be part of something meaningful, exploring regions rich in history, nature, and local culture.

For El Salvador, Wanderlust suggests several must-see spots, including the Museum of the Salvadoran Revolution, the picturesque town of Juayúa, the colonial charm of Suchitoto, the biodiversity of El Imposible Forest, and the stunning Tazumal ruins. Additionally, the magazine highlights the country’s golden beaches, renowned surf spots like El Tunco, and its stunning volcanoes and lush forests that make it a haven for adventure seekers and nature lovers alike.

El Salvador’s tourism sector has experienced significant growth in recent years. In 2024, the country welcomed 3.9 million visitors, and the World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) recently recognized El Salvador as the second fastest-growing country in tourism worldwide since the pandemic. Minister of Tourism, Morena Valdez, celebrated this achievement, noting the country’s growing popularity on the global stage.

“Last year we received 3.9 million visitors. UN Tourism has just placed us as the second country that has grown the most after the pandemic, not at the Latin American level, but on a global scale,” Valdez remarked.
