Patricia Bullrich Shares Key Strategy from President Bukele’s Lessons.

President Nayib Bukele, via his X account this afternoon, shared an interview with Argentine Minister of Security Patricia Bullrich. In the interview, Bullrich discussed the advice President Bukele offered during his recent visit to Argentina, focusing on how to navigate political challenges when enacting reforms.

Bukele recounted his experience, explaining how he faced significant opposition in passing laws. «I didn’t have a single deputy; I sent 77 laws, they rejected all 77, I vetoed them and they won the veto. I went out to the street to explain to the people who they were, and I told them if they voted for them again, they would do the same. He won by 70%,» Bukele shared, emphasizing the importance of direct engagement with the public.

In response, Minister Bullrich affirmed that she intends to follow Bukele’s approach in Argentina. «Let’s go out now, each Argentine will be responsible for giving us a vote to get the tools we need for these very important changes that we are making,» she stated during the interview, which was aired on a popular Argentine media outlet.

The exchange highlights the influence of Bukele’s leadership style on political figures beyond El Salvador, as well as the shared commitment to pushing forward significant national reforms despite political opposition.
