El Salvador Promotes Trade and Investment Expansion with Honduras.

The Embassy of El Salvador in Honduras recently organized an economic promotion forum in San Pedro Sula, one of the country’s key economic hubs, aimed at fostering new business opportunities between the two nations. The event, held under the theme “El Salvador and Honduras: A Window of Opportunities for Trade and Investment,” brought together over 100 businessmen, institutions, and organizations to explore the potential for increased commercial collaboration.

The forum highlighted El Salvador’s national exportable offerings, showcasing sectors with high potential to expand their presence in the Honduran market. Key strategic areas for business and productive projects in El Salvador were also presented, along with information on the country’s favorable business climate, trade agreements, and the ease of starting a business.

Supported by both government institutions and the Salvadoran private sector, the event provided attendees with crucial details on trade opportunities, investment incentives, and customs procedures. Notable institutions participating included El Salvador’s Agency of Investments and Exports (Invest), the General Directorate of Customs, and the Corporation of Exporters of El Salvador (Coexport).

Honduras was represented by several key organizations, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Secretary of Economic Development, the National Investment Council, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Cortés (CCIC), along with international organizations like the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI).

Honduras remains one of El Salvador’s main economic partners in the region, and both countries continue to strengthen their bilateral ties with an emphasis on trade and investment growth.
