Costa Rica To Honor President Bukele with Exclusive Grand Cross Award.

During his State visit to Costa Rica from November 7 to 11, President Rodrigo Chaves will present Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele with the Juan Mora Fernández distinction. This prestigious award is granted to foreign dignitaries whose actions align with Costa Rica’s national interests and merit special recognition.

The award has been conferred upon Bukele at the rank of Gran Cruz Placa de Oro, a level exclusively reserved for heads of state, former presidents, elected presidents, heads of government, grand masters of internationally recognized sovereign orders, and governors of free states associated with other nations.

President Bukele, who currently enjoys nearly 90% popular approval according to Cid Gallup, is the most popular leader in the Americas. In anticipation of Bukele’s visit, President Chaves remarked, “We will receive him as a head of state and will provide him with the honors he deserves. It will be a great pleasure for me to converse with a fellow Central American head of state.”
