CBP Confirms Significant Reduction in Salvadoran Migrants at U.S. Southern Border.

In a recent announcement, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (@CBP) confirmed a substantial decline in the number of Salvadoran migrants attempting to cross the southern border. The administration of President Nayib Bukele has successfully reduced illegal migration to the United States by an impressive 74.3% over the past three years.

Notably, data shows a 62.7% decrease in illegal migration from El Salvador between September and October of this year. Furthermore, when comparing the period from January to September 2023 with the same timeframe in 2024, the reduction stands at 54.9%.

These statistics highlight the effectiveness of President Bukele’s policies in curbing migration and addressing the root causes driving Salvadorans to seek a better life in the U.S.
