This morning, Minister Gustavo Villatoro participated in the Finance Committee of the Legislative Assembly, where he presented the security projects included in the 2025 Budget.
The key objectives outlined by Minister Villatoro for the 2025 budget include:
• Acquisition of vehicles and equipment for land and maritime transport to support the operations of the National Civil Police.
• Equipping and modernizing justice and security institutions, including infrastructure development to improve their efficiency.
• Construction and outfitting of forensic ballistics areas, as well as the enhancement of police stations.
“This budget fully guarantees public security activities and the fight against crime, as well as ensuring all benefits for our justice and security personnel,” stated Minister Villatoro.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to protecting Salvadorans, saying, “We reiterate our commitment to continue fighting these terrorists and eliminating from our society those who threaten lives, future generations, Salvadoran property, or those involved in the cursed drug trade.”
