Today, Presidents Nayib Bukele of El Salvador and Javier Milei of Argentina are holding a bilateral meeting aimed at strengthening the relationship between the two nations. Earlier, President Bukele paid tribute to Argentine independence hero General José de San Martín by placing a wreath at his monument in the capital.
President Bukele was welcomed with full honors by his counterpart at Argentina’s Government House, the Casa Rosada, marking a significant diplomatic moment. This is President Bukele’s first state visit during his second term, and it also represents the first invitation extended by President Milei to a foreign leader.
The meeting is seen as a key opportunity to reinforce ties between El Salvador and Argentina and explore new avenues for cooperation between the two countries.
