As part of her ongoing work agenda in Rome, El Salvador’s Foreign Minister, Alexandra Hill, met with Italy’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani. The meeting aimed to reinforce the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
Minister Hill emphasized Italy’s support in El Salvador’s transformation process under the leadership of President Nayib Bukele. She also highlighted the strong ties that unite the two countries, expressing gratitude for Italy’s assistance through various cooperation projects.
Minister Tajani praised the excellent bilateral relationship between Italy and El Salvador, commending the progress made in security within Salvadoran territory. He reaffirmed Italy’s commitment to supporting El Salvador’s development efforts.
Tajani also expressed his hope that the Bilateral Cooperation Commission, established under the Framework Agreement for Cooperation, will meet soon. He announced plans to expand cooperation through projects in culture, cinema, and the teaching of the Italian language.
Both ministers reiterated their willingness to strengthen collaboration across various sectors, paving the way for deeper ties between the two nations.
