El Salvador is making significant progress in its child nutrition initiatives, as a group of 1,000 breastfeeding advisors commit to promoting better health for young children. This effort is part of the EU4SUN program, supported by the European Commission and carried out by Fundación Internacional y para Iberoamérica de Administración y Políticas Públicas (FIIAPP).

The ongoing work of these community health workers is driving El Salvador closer to fulfilling the goals set during the 2021 Tokyo Nutrition for Growth (N4G) Summit, particularly in reducing childhood malnutrition and supporting exclusive breastfeeding practices.
