The National Registry Center (CNR) has unveiled a new digital platform designed to streamline the process of formalizing a business. The platform, named «Crea Empresa,» aims to centralize all the necessary procedures for creating a company in a single digital window.
The launch event was led by the Executive Director of the CNR, Camilo Trigueros. «Now that we have resolved the issue of violence, we are going to fix our economy,» Trigueros stated. He detailed that this platform involves various institutions, including the Ministry of Finance, the Salvadoran Institute of Social Security, the Superintendency of the Financial System, and Conamype.
Through this platform, users can perform various tasks such as registering a company’s constitution, business and establishment registration, initial balance deposit, obtaining a tax identification number (NIT), commercial registration number (NRC), employer identification number, among others.
The CNR also clarified that the types of merchants that can register include Anonymous Societies (SA), Simplified Shares (SAS), Limited Liability (RL), Collective, Limited Partnerships by Shares, Simple Partnerships, Cooperatives, and Mixed Economy entities, as well as natural persons.
Mariela Funes, Director of the Commercial Registry, also participated in the launch. She highlighted that this initiative arose from an analysis of the behavior of productive sectors. «Today we are launching a platform that exemplifies the collaborative work of eight public institutions,» Funes said, adding that «this platform starts with the vision of adding new services that benefit our population.»
