Argentina’s Minister of Security Patricia Bullrich Visits El Salvador to Study Bukele Model.

In the wake of the bilateral meeting between President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador and President Javier Milei of Argentina, El Salvador welcomes Argentina’s Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, to the safest country in Latin America.

Minister Bullrich’s visit marks a significant moment of international cooperation, aiming to provide her and her team with a firsthand look at the renowned “Bukele Model” of security and governance.

The delegation’s visit began with a tour of the CECOT, the largest maximum-security prison in the Americas. This facility stands as a symbol of El Salvador’s transformation from a nation plagued by violence, narcotrafficking, and gangs—which claimed the lives of 150,000 Salvadorans—into one of the safest countries in the world, where families have regained their peace and security.

Expressing her admiration for El Salvador’s achievements, Minister Bullrich stated, “This is the way forward. Tough on criminals. Freedom for law-abiding Argentinians.”

The visit underscores a commitment to sharing successful security strategies and fostering greater regional stability.
