NASA Astronaut Frank Rubio Inspires Children at Tin Marín Museum.

This Friday, NASA astronaut Frank Rubio paid a special visit to the Tin Marín museum, where he engaged with children from the Pedro Pablo Castillo School Center and the Paraíso Down Foundation, sharing his remarkable experiences in space.

Rubio delved into the key insights he gained during his time in space, detailing the intricate process of conducting a spacewalk and elucidating the challenges astronauts face when it comes to eating and working in space. He emphasized that returning to Earth was one of the most awe-inspiring experiences, having to patiently wait nearly a day for his body to readjust to Earth’s gravity.

«It’s a tremendous honor for me to know that my roots lie in El Salvador. In the coming years, I plan to visit more frequently, aiming to inspire more Salvadorans to strive for success,» Rubio remarked.

The children seized the opportunity to pose questions and express their curiosities to the NASA astronaut, who encouraged them to persevere in their studies and endeavors to achieve their goals.

In a gesture of gratitude and connection to his homeland, Rubio presented the Tin Marín museum with the Salvadoran flag that accompanied him aboard the International Space Station. In return, he received a personalized memento crafted by Salvadoran artisans.

Frank Rubio’s visit not only ignited the imaginations of these young minds but also instilled a sense of pride and aspiration within the community, fostering a belief that the sky is not the limit for those who dare to dream.
