In a joint effort with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued an open call for preselection of candidates for various positions in the Labor Mobility Program. The recruitment drive, set to take place on February 12 and 13, 2024, aims to fill roles such as chefs, gardeners, cleaning services, guest services, waitstaff, and sales representatives.
The primary goal of this initiative is to provide opportunities for the Salvadoran population to access avenues for growth and development, thereby improving their quality of life through organized, regular, safe, and circular migration. The latter aspect ensures that individuals can return to their home communities and reunite with their families after the conclusion of the temporary employment period.

Participants were also provided with an informative session detailing the job opportunities available under the program’s parameters. The Labor Mobility Program team conducted interviews to assess the suitability of candidates based on the prerequisites outlined by the interested employing companies.
«I applied for a cleaning services position. These calls are excellent for all Salvadorans because they are open, and everyone can apply as long as they have experience in the required field,» stated Francisco Moreno, a resident of Santa Ana, who views this initiative as an opportunity to pursue his dreams.
Ernesto Escobar, an aspiring participant, expressed his hope to progress to the next phase and secure employment in the United States. «These are opportunities I have never seen before, and they are quite good,» he added.
«I am very happy that these initiatives are happening because they are of great importance and help us progress. If I have the chance to travel for work, I want to save to buy my house, which is crucial for my family,» shared Álvaro Hernández.
The recruitment drive will continue on Thursday, February 8. Those interested in applying for positions such as gardeners, dishwashers, waitstaff, and sales representatives can visit our facilities at Bulevar Cancillería, Calle El Pedregal, Antiguo Cuscatlán, La Libertad.
