Guatemalan Entrepreneur Explores New Hotel Investments in El Salvador.

In a recent interview, Fernando Paiz, the Guatemalan entrepreneur and President of the Board of Directors of Las Cascadas Multiservicios, revealed his plans for exploring new investments in the hotel sector in El Salvador. Paiz, along with a business group he is associated with, is actively seeking investment funds to initiate the construction of a new hotel.

The decision to focus on El Salvador’s hospitality industry stems from the remarkable surge in tourism experienced in recent years. Paiz emphasized that this growth has not only benefited the tourism sector but also had a positive impact on related industries such as hospitality and restaurants.

«We are contemplating investments in El Salvador in the field of hospitality and hotels because the country has witnessed significant growth in tourism. The hotel industry is experiencing exceptional occupancy rates, making it a lucrative venture,» stated Paiz.

El Salvador’s tourism sector received a substantial boost last year, with events like Miss Universe contributing over $170 million in foreign exchange earnings and leading to full occupancy across all accommodation spaces, according to data from the Ministry of Tourism (Mitur).

«This presents a unique opportunity for El Salvador. The country attracts tourism from Salvadorans living abroad, as well as visitors attending events and activities organized here. As a nation, El Salvador has actively promoted itself, and we see potential in leveraging this,» commented Paiz.

Fernando Paiz’s strategic approach to attracting investment aligns with the country’s efforts to position itself as a vibrant tourist destination. The influx of capital into the hospitality sector is expected to not only enhance the country’s accommodation offerings but also contribute significantly to its economic growth. As El Salvador continues to showcase its appeal to both domestic and international visitors, entrepreneurs like Paiz see a promising future in investing in the nation’s expanding tourism and hospitality landscape.
