The El Salvador Agency for International Cooperation (ESCO) is set to embark on a series of initiatives in 2024 aimed at fostering the development of early childhood and reinforcing international internships.
Karla de Palma, the Director of ESCO, disclosed that the upcoming year will witness dedicated projects for early childhood, focusing on health initiatives such as the “Nacer con Cariño” program. Additionally, there will be exchanges of experiences in the energy sector, linking women with agriculture, and promoting economic empowerment for women.
“This 2024, we are committed to spearheading projects that directly impact early childhood development. Our focus includes health through the ‘Nacer con Cariño’ program, sharing experiences in the energy sector, connecting women with agriculture, and empowering women economically,” stated Director Karla de Palma.
Furthermore, she highlighted the success of ESCO’s International Internships Program, which has seen 48 interns placed in various public institutions, fostering a dynamic exchange of experiences.
“For the third consecutive year, we have initiated discussions with President Rubén Alemán to organize internships at ANDA involving three universities from Arkansas,” Karla de Palma announced.
She emphasized the agency’s commitment to ensuring that cooperation with government institutions aligns with the country’s needs, priorities, and policies established by the presidency.
“With each government institution, our role is to guarantee that cooperation aligns with our nation’s needs, priorities, and policies as set by the presidency. This ensures that the partnerships are impactful and contribute to the overall development of El Salvador,” added Director Karla de Palma.
