El Salvador Aims to Boost Aviation Sector Towards Europe with “Atlantic Blue” Project.

To enhance El Salvador’s aviation industry and foster economic growth, JB Aviation founder Juan Bienert Dealers and Tomás Cano, the mastermind behind airlines like Aerocancun and Private Jet United States, are spearheading the ambitious project “Atlantic Blue.”

Aviation plays a pivotal role in El Salvador’s economy, bolstered by modern airport projects that have attracted new airlines to the region. Esteemed figures in the aeronautical industry, such as Juan Bienert Dealers and Tomas Cano, recognize El Salvador as a prosperous, secure, and reliable hub for launching new commercial routes to Europe.

Recently, Bienert Dealers and Cano engaged in discussions with the Presidential Commissioner for Strategic Projects, Cristian Flores, to evaluate a business plan aimed at further propelling El Salvador’s aviation sector.

Commissioner Flores explained that the proposed business plan by these international experts seeks to enhance El Salvador’s connectivity with Europe, leverage existing airport infrastructure, and lay the groundwork for the future Pacific Airport.

The shared vision of Cano and Bienert Dealers is to position the country as a focal point for opportunities, attracting entrepreneurs from various industries, including aviation, logistics, and tourism. Their “Atlantic Blue” project aims to connect El Salvador with Europe through strategic partnerships with tour operators.

“This initiative undoubtedly positions El Salvador as the regional benchmark for the world,” emphasized Commissioner Flores.

Regarding the new Pacific Airport project in the eastern zone, Flores highlighted that El Salvador will emerge as a strategic destination for investors interested in airport infrastructure.

“This ambitious development plan not only promises to strengthen the country’s connectivity but also establishes El Salvador as a regional hub for large-scale investment projects, consolidating tourism as a key driver of economic growth,” Flores commented.

Cano affirmed that El Salvador is currently an attractive destination for new businesses. “They have a great opportunity now. El Salvador is globally recognized, thanks to President Nayib Bukele’s exceptional work; it is considered a safe, beautiful, and conducive place to invest and work,” noted the creator of various airlines worldwide.

International experts have conducted extensive studies on El Salvador’s potential for the aeronautical industry. With government support and the achieved international projection, the vision of becoming a hub for innovation and business in the aviation sector seems increasingly attainable.

In their view, El Salvador is ready to make a significant leap in the aviation, tourism, and investment attraction sectors, solidifying its position as a regional benchmark. The commitment to airport infrastructure becomes a catalyst for economic growth and development, following the successful path paved by tourism in El Salvador.

Currently, 14 passenger airlines operate at El Salvador International Airport, connecting to over 30 destinations. In 2023, these airlines transported more than 4.5 million passengers, underlining the airport’s role as a vital gateway to the region.
