El Salvador Showcases Signature Rums in Turkish Market.

El Salvador is going forward in the international beverage scene, particularly in Turkey, as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs orchestrated a successful rum-tasting event featuring 100% Salvadoran rums from Cihuatán and Guazapa brands. The event, attended by entrepreneurs, importers, distributors, and specialized media, aimed to spotlight the quality of Salvadoran beverages.

The Ministry highlighted the strategic efforts of Salvadoran embassies in promoting the country’s export portfolio globally. The event not only served as a promotional platform but also facilitated networking for local producers, fostering potential business opportunities.

Ambassador Héctor Jairme, emphasizing the diplomatic and economic strategy, noted that such events in Turkey and recently in Belgium aim to connect Salvadoran producers with international markets. The support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its global network underscores Salvadoran businesses’ commitment to global expansion.

The Central Reserve Bank’s data revealed Turkey’s substantial purchases of around $2.7 million in Salvadoran products over the last four years, reflecting the growing economic collaboration between the two nations.
