Gas Cylinders Maintain Prices for November in El Salvador.

The General Directorate of Energy, Hydrocarbons, and Mines (DGEHM) has announced the new prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders in various sizes for November 2023. The good news for consumers is that the prices have been kept stable, and this month’s rates bring relief to households across the country.

For the month of November, the 25-pound LPG cylinder will cost $11.13. However, those who qualify for targeted subsidies will only need to pay $3.09. This subsidy program benefits more than one million families who rely on LPG for their household needs.

Here’s a breakdown of the LPG cylinder prices for November:

10-pound cylinder: $4.61
20-pound cylinder: $8.98
25-pound cylinder: $11.13
35-pound cylinder: $15.50

The subsidized price for the 25-pound cylinder is significantly lower, thanks to a subsidy of $8.04, making it affordable at just $3.09 for eligible recipients. This targeted subsidy has a far-reaching impact, supporting over a million families in their LPG usage.

In addition to these stable prices, consumers can enjoy an extra cost-saving benefit this month due to the extension of the Transitory Law for LPG Price Stabilization, implemented in June. This measure aims to maintain reasonable prices for various LPG cylinder sizes. The extension of this law will remain in effect until May 31, 2024.

These measures from the General Directorate of Energy, Hydrocarbons, and Mines offer financial relief and stability to households using LPG. It ensures that families can continue to afford this essential energy source, even as global energy prices fluctuate. With consistent and manageable prices, consumers can plan their budgets with confidence, knowing that LPG will remain an accessible and affordable option for their energy needs.
