El Salvador continues to solidify its position as a destination for foreign investments, attracting new businesses looking to establish a presence in the country. This week, a group of entrepreneurs from the Czech Republic and Slovakia is visiting the nation with the goal of forging commercial agreements and investments in various sectors of the Salvadoran economy, in collaboration with the government.

Participating in this business delegation are Dana Hrdinová, a representative from Metroprojekt; Michal Jirkovský, a Czech business consultant; and Daniel Maslonka, CEO of Grain Slovakia. The delegation’s arrival in El Salvador is supported by the Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in El Salvador, Ildiko Tesak.
Motivated by the remarkable transformations witnessed in El Salvador over recent years, particularly in economic and technological development, as well as advancements in trade facilitation and a decrease in crime rates, these entrepreneurs have chosen to explore the country’s investment potential.
The delegation has expressed a strong interest in positioning their companies in El Salvador, particularly in technology solutions, software development, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, business systematization, the textile industry, infrastructure, wine trade, and supporting projects in schools and institutions.
Moreover, they have indicated their desire to export Salvadoran products to the Czech Republic and Slovakia, including coffee, chocolate, textiles, rum, and seafood.
«We have observed significant positive changes in the country, how it has improved, and how the standard of living is rising. We are particularly impressed by the reduction in crime. I represent a major textile company that is looking to invest in El Salvador, and we are searching for new opportunities to invest, export, and import,» stated Jirkovský.
Maslonka highlighted that «El Salvador is undergoing a digital transformation,» and as a result, they are exploring synergies through projects in information technology (IT), cybersecurity, and robotics to contribute to the education and digital skills of Salvadorans.
«El Salvador is an exporter of coffee and chocolate, so we would like to export such products, as well as textiles and rum,» added the Slovak entrepreneur.
The delegation also commended the quality of the Salvadoran people, the beautiful beaches, the traditional pupusas, and, above all, they expressed their fascination with the work of President Nayib Bukele, whom they described as «an innovative leader who is choosing the right path to transform El Salvador.»
During their visit to the country, the delegation plans to meet with various government officials and establish connections with the private sector. As part of this effort, they recently met with the Salvadoran Association of Industrialists (ASI), which supports collaboration with different companies in the country.
Additionally, the Honorary Consul of El Salvador in the Czech Republic, Ildiko Tesak, stated that this represents an opportunity for El Salvador to revitalize business and tourism between these nations.
«We hope that the government leverages the knowledge these companies possess because we are aware that the government has many plans. I am confident that these companies are capable of delivering high-quality services,» she affirmed.
