The Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce recognizes the potential for growth and personal development in this emerging market. The roots of this mission were planted during a visit to Atlanta by Salvadoran Ambassador Milena Mayorga, who passionately pitched the country’s national rebranding efforts to legislators and business leaders. Consul General Monica Marin, who played a crucial role in planning the ambassador’s visit, expressed her delight at the positive response the mission has received. She emphasized the tremendous commercial opportunities that El Salvador offers to investors, coupled with the country’s natural beauty.

El Salvador is known for its robust apparel manufacturing sector and offers airlines a strong foundation for maintenance, repair, and overhaul operations, with an airport serving 35 direct-flight destinations. The government is actively offering various tax incentives to attract foreign investors while enacting reforms to streamline business operations.
President Nayib Bukele, a driving force behind El Salvador’s transformation, highlighted the importance of technology and foreign investment in the country’s development. El Salvador, with a population similar to Metro Atlanta, is home to a large diaspora community in Georgia, mainly in Gwinnett County, where the consulate general is located.
