The Embassy of El Salvador in Israel has been working closely with its citizens in various affected regions from the very beginning. The government of El Salvador remains committed to providing support and assistance to Salvadorans, regardless of their location.
The first group of Salvadorans has already departed Israel, embarking on a journey that ultimately brings them closer to home. Upon their departure, these compatriots reached the shores of Cyprus, where they received a warm welcome from our Honorary Consul, Marios Polyviou.
This initial group primarily consists of elderly individuals who were able to board a humanitarian flight operated by the Portuguese Air Force. Their next destination is Portugal, where they will then continue their journey back to El Salvador. Once in this European nation, our Embassy of El Salvador in Portugal is prepared to extend a helping hand by providing accommodation and sustenance during their stay, ensuring a seamless transition.
Simultaneously, a second group of Salvadorans who left Israel is now stationed at Jordan’s airport. Their journey back home has been made possible through concerted efforts that involved ground transportation arrangements and the purchase of air tickets. These ongoing efforts underscore the government’s unwavering commitment to the protection and well-being of all Salvadoran citizens, no matter where they may find themselves.
As the Embassy of El Salvador continues to work diligently to support and facilitate the safe return of its citizens from Israel, it remains a beacon of hope and solidarity during these challenging times.
