The El Salvador Fire Department has received a substantial donation aimed at bolstering and modernizing their operations. The generous contribution is expected to enhance the efficiency of services in the La Libertad port area and its vicinity.

The highlight of this donation is a generous grant of a 3,300-square-meter plot of land. This land will be utilized for the construction of the new fire station for the La Libertad port area and will also house a portion of the Héroes de El Salvador Fire Department Academy.

The land, a contribution from the La Libertad municipality, is located in Hacienda Santa Emilia, within the San Rafael canton, specifically along Litoral Road at kilometer 39 ½.

Baltazar Solano, the director of the Fire Department, enthusiastically stated, «In collaboration with the municipality, we are setting a milestone in the history of our institution. This donation not only enables us to provide immediate responses to our local residents but also to the national and international tourists who frequent these beaches.»

The construction of this new station is anticipated to significantly enhance the department’s response capabilities, resulting in more efficient and effective interventions when responding to emergency calls from the community.

Several municipalities will benefit from the presence of the new Fire Department station, which will be conveniently situated just 300 meters away from the La Libertad port.
