From Vision to Reality, El Salvador’s New Hospital Rosales Will Redefine Healthcare.

During a recent interview on Radio YSKL, Edwin Chavarría, the representative of the Directorate of Municipal Works (DOM), shared exciting details about the upcoming New Hospital Rosales, which has already entered its construction phase. This ambitious project, initiated by visionary President Nayib Bukele, aims to bring significant development and progress to the country while providing the best possible healthcare services for future generations.

The creation of the Directorate of Municipal Works was announced by President Nayib Bukele on April 7, 2021, with the approval of the Assembly on November 18, 2021. This entity was established to administer public resources for each municipality in the country, and it now plays a vital role in the realization of the New Hospital Rosales—a project that will benefit thousands of Salvadorans.

“The president, Nayib Bukele, mentioned when he announced the construction of the New Hospital Rosales that the current hospital had not seen any improvements in over 100 years (…). The Salvadoran people will be thrilled when we unveil the new Hospital Rosales,” explained Chavarría.

The New Hospital Rosales will be a state-of-the-art medical facility, boasting over 87 consultation rooms and 44 procedure rooms, ensuring comprehensive and efficient healthcare services for the citizens of El Salvador. This ambitious project is funded by the government, underlining President Bukele’s commitment to the well-being of his people.

Notably, the New Hospital Rosales will receive an EDGE certification, showcasing its environmentally conscious design with low energy consumption. Construction work is proceeding around the clock, with the implementation of night shifts to maintain an uninterrupted pace. “We are working 24/7 to ensure the construction of the New Hospital Rosales remains on track,” Chavarría highlighted.

In addition to the extensive consultation and procedure facilities, the New Hospital Rosales will include a pharmacy, blood bank, clinical laboratory, and outpatient services. It will also house specialized departments, such as nephrology, imaging, cardiology, and oncology, catering to a wide range of medical needs.

The hospital will be equipped with amenities for patients and staff alike, featuring public terraces, medical gas storage rooms, fuel tanks, and condenser areas, among others. Furthermore, a daycare facility will offer convenient childcare options for hospital employees, enabling them to focus on providing excellent healthcare services.

With its focus on environmental sustainability and commitment to delivering top-tier healthcare services, the New Hospital Rosales represents a landmark project that aligns with President Bukele’s vision for a progressive and flourishing El Salvador. The anticipation is building as the construction progresses, and citizens eagerly await the day they can access this cutting-edge medical institution, which promises to transform the healthcare landscape of the nation.
