Vice President Felix Ulloa Presents El Salvador’s Achievements in Security at Summit.

In the XXVIII Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, held in the Dominican Republic, Vice President Felix Ulloa presented the achievements that El Salvador has obtained in terms of security on behalf of President Nayib Bukele.

Ulloa highlighted that the country is about to reach 365 days without homicides, as there have been 330 homicides recorded. This was unthinkable in the past, as previous governments had up to 103 homicides in a single day.

Now, as a result of the reduction of violence through the implementation of the Territorial Control Plan and the state of emergency, our country is making strides as a prosperous nation.

“Thanks to the results obtained by this plan, in 2023 the country will host the XXIV Central American and Caribbean Games, five surfing championships, and the Miss Universe competition, which seeks to encourage tourism,” added Vice President Ulloa.

In addition, El Salvador will have the pro tempore presidency of the Central American Integration System starting in June, which will allow it to lead the proposed transformations at a regional level and strengthen the nations in the area against the powers.
