The Ministry of Tourism (MITUR) reported that El Salvador has recovered 94% of post-pandemic tourism, and that, in 2022, it has positioned itself as a benchmark in the region, exceeding projections.
“We have recovered 94% of post-pandemic tourism, with tourists from the United States being the ones who visit us the most,” explained the institution through its official Twitter account.
In this sense, the Ministry of Tourism indicated that 2 million visitors have been received, of which 54% were by air and 46% by land, registering a growth of 47%.

In addition, the institution explained that, thanks to the fact that the stay of visitors in the country has increased, $2,077 million in foreign currency has been achieved, increasing by 52% compared to the year 2019.
