The Minister of Tourism, Morena Valdez, attended the AM interview on channel 10, where she highlighted the skills that surfers show every day during the 2022 ISA World Junior Surfing Championship.
“It is a joint effort that we have carried out with different government institutions,” she said.
Similarly, the head of tourism commented on the way in which security is being implemented in said competition and highlighted the work of the elements of the Naval Force of the Armed Forces and the authorities of the National Civil Police (PNC).
“This is a great responsibility, because we receive young athletes from more than 40 delegations from around the world,” she commented, adding that:
“We are having a great sports party on our beaches, international surfers praise the country’s waves and classify them as some of the best in the world,” she reiterated.
Morena Valdez also commented that holding international tournaments contributes to the country’s tourism development as part of the economic actions carried out by the government of El Salvador.
“The different international surfing delegations that visit us get a good impression of our tourist destinations,” she said.
