Rep. Luna: Democrats Reject MS-13 Crime Evidence to Push Anti-Bukele Narrative.

U.S. Representative Anna Paulina Luna has publicly challenged a recent House committee hearing regarding El Salvador, accusing congressional Democrats of suppressing evidence and prioritizing political gains over the reality of the country’s security transformation.

Luna, who serves as a co-chair of the bipartisan El Salvador Caucus, recently released a video statement and social media post detailing her experiences on the ground. She argued that the current accusations against President Nayib Bukele regarding human rights are not only unfounded but are a deliberate distraction from the violence previously inflicted by criminal organizations.

Today, Democrats are holding a hearing to accuse President Bukele of human rights abuses which is all lies, Luna said. I went to El Salvador (with Democrats) and we witnessed the TRUTH first hand.

The congresswoman highlighted a specific instance where she attempted to provide her colleagues with visual documentation of the brutality managed by the MS-13 gang. Despite her efforts to brief the American press and other lawmakers, she claims the information was ignored by those now leading the investigations into the Salvadoran government.

I personally brought back footage of the human rights abuses that MS-13 was committing, Luna explained during her address. I offered to share it with my Democrat colleagues, the ones that are hosting the very same nonsense hearing today, and no one wanted to see it.

According to Luna, the refusal to acknowledge this evidence points to a partisan agenda aimed at the upcoming U.S. midterm elections. She maintained that her firsthand observations, and those of her caucus co-chair Vicente González, do not align with the narrative being presented on Capitol Hill.

The representative finished her statement by expressing gratitude toward the Salvadoran administration for its efforts in dismantling gang influence and restoring safety to the nation.

Thank you President Bukele for liberating the El Salvadoran people and your amazing country, she concluded. We’ll continue to put the truth out.
