El Salvador has increased its national Bitcoin reserves following a new purchase confirmed by the The Bitcoin Office, reinforcing the country’s long-term digital asset strategy.
According to the latest update shared by the The Bitcoin Office, the nation’s Strategic Bitcoin Reserve (SBR) now holds 7,585.37 BTC, reflecting the government’s continued commitment to expanding its sovereign digital asset portfolio.
Since adopting Bitcoin as legal tender in 2021 under the leadership of President Nayib Bukele, El Salvador has maintained a consistent strategy of accumulating Bitcoin as part of its broader economic and technological vision.
Officials have stated that the reserve strategy aims to strengthen the country’s position in the global digital economy while supporting long-term financial innovation and investment opportunities.
El Salvador continues to be closely watched by international markets and technology communities as it advances its pioneering approach to integrating Bitcoin into national economic policy.
