U.S. Lawmakers Join President Bukele at El Salvador’s First National Prayer Breakfast.

President Nayib Bukele presided over the First National Prayer Breakfast of El Salvador at the National Palace, an event that brought together religious leaders, members of the Próspera Foundation Board, international guests, and senior officials from all three branches of the Salvadoran State. The gathering transformed the historic venue into a space for spiritual reflection, unity, and dialogue about the country’s present and future.

The event was attended by President Bukele; the President of the Legislative Assembly, Ernesto Castro; and the President of the Supreme Court of Justice, Henry Alexander Mejía, highlighting rare institutional unity. U.S. senators and congressmen were also present, including Representative Tom Suozzi of New York and Representative John Moolenaar of Michigan, who acknowledged El Salvador’s recent changes and emphasized cooperation beyond political or religious differences.

“We are very inspired by everything we have learned here in El Salvador. What has happened here is incredible, and now the country is entering a time of peace,” said Representative Tom Suozzi, referring to the nation’s transformation.

During his address, President Bukele reflected on El Salvador’s difficult past marked by violence and insecurity, and described the country’s shift toward peace as a national test of faith. “What we have experienced here is a miracle, and I don’t say that lightly. There is evidence,” the President stated, emphasizing that the restoration of security occurred without civilian casualties.

Manuel Espina, founder of the Próspera Foundation, also highlighted the spiritual significance of the gathering. “Today, together in El Salvador, we are asking for continued blessings for this nation so that we may keep witnessing more miracles,” he said.

The First National Prayer Breakfast concluded with prayers, reflections, and a message of hope, positioning El Salvador as a country seeking to strengthen peace, values, and international ties through faith and unity.
