El Salvador continues to expand its international tourism reach, this time through a strategic forum held in Panama aimed at fostering business alliances and positioning the country as a premier travel destination in Central America.
The Representation of El Salvador in Panama organized the event under the title “Tourism Connection: El Salvador and Panama,” bringing together tourism companies from both nations to explore new collaboration opportunities. Salvadoran businesses presented their products, services, and tourism experiences to Panamanian tour operators, who expressed strong interest in incorporating El Salvador into their travel offerings.
“We are a captivating, accessible, and competitive tourist destination in Central America, thanks to our cultural diversity, natural wealth, and ample opportunities for adventure tourism,” said El Salvador’s ambassador to Panama, Zoraida Panameño. She highlighted iconic destinations such as the Historic Center of San Salvador and Surf City as key attractions that continue to draw international visitors.
The ambassador emphasized that the initiative also sought to enhance air connectivity and attract investment to the Salvadoran tourism sector, further boosting economic growth and visitor flow. “Panama is a strategic partner for strengthening connectivity, commercial alliances, and the joint promotion of sustainable tourism,” she added.
The forum gathered around 75 representatives from the tourism industry and featured the participation of Tourism Minister Morena Valdez, who showcased El Salvador’s remarkable transformation as a safe, modern, and vibrant destination. Following the event, Panamanian business leaders expressed enthusiasm about developing new tourism packages and exploring investment opportunities in the Salvadoran market.
Through these international partnerships, El Salvador continues to strengthen its position as one of the most dynamic and attractive destinations in the region.
