U.S. and Salvadoran Students Collaborate with ANDA to Improve Water and Sanitation Solutions.

El Salvador continues to strengthen its commitment to education by supporting strategic partnerships that encourage knowledge-sharing among professionals and institutions. These initiatives are aimed at contributing to the country’s progress through collaborative learning.

On Friday, the closing ceremony of the ANDA 2025 Internship Program took place, bringing together national and international participants. The event celebrated a five-week collaboration focused on professional development and technical skills enhancement. University students from Arkansas, United States—University of the Ozarks, John Brown University, and Harding University—joined peers from El Salvador’s Universidad Don Bosco to share knowledge and develop innovative projects.

Jorge Castaneda, president of ANDA, highlighted the significance of the students’ contributions. “The results are very interesting. They’ve used tools like artificial intelligence, and recent tests have shown the potential utility of these technologies, particularly in areas like billing analysis to help protect Salvadoran families,” he stated.

“These contributions align with President Bukele’s vision to protect and serve the population. This tool will be very useful. It represents a milestone at the national level,” Castaneda added.

“Through this internship program, we’ve now worked with over 60 students who have left a mark that will benefit the population,” he concluded.

The program focused on areas such as digital transformation, planning, innovation, and technology. The final day included a presentation of the students’ results, showcasing the tangible outcomes of international cooperation in education.
