The Embassy of El Salvador in China led a business mission to the cities of Beijing and Hangzhou, aiming to position Salvadoran export products in the Asian market.
During this visit, three Salvadoran entrepreneurs showcased their goods as part of President Nayib Bukele’s government efforts to open new markets for national products, foster the international growth of Salvadoran businesses, and create economic opportunities.
In Beijing, the entrepreneurs, accompanied by El Salvador’s Ambassador to China, Luis López, held high-level meetings with representatives from key trade chambers, sectoral associations, and government agencies linked to international commerce. They also engaged directly with importers, distributors, and agro-industrial stakeholders.
The Salvadoran delegation presented a diverse range of agro-industrial and beverage products, emphasizing quality, sustainability, and innovation. These exchanges opened doors to technical and commercial collaborations and helped build connections with strategic partners seeking unique Latin American products.
The delegation later traveled to Hangzhou, where they were supported by the local Foreign Affairs Office. A special session was held focusing on high-value natural products, aligned with emerging Chinese consumer trends. Entrepreneurs also visited organic-focused supermarkets, met with food and beverage companies, and held discussions with institutions from Zhejiang province and various industrial chambers. Field visits were also conducted to better understand Chinese business models.
“The Government of El Salvador reaffirms its commitment to promote the talent and hard work of our people and products, while building bridges of cooperation that unlock new opportunities for national development,” concluded Ambassador López.
