The Ministry of Public Works (MOP) has reported a total of 521 roadside assists during the current Holy Week vacation period in El Salvador, according to official figures released by the institution this Thursday.
These services, carried out through the “MOP Te Asiste” program, have taken place between Wednesday, April 9, and Thursday, April 17, up to 8:00 a.m. In that time, MOP crews have covered a total of 19,279 kilometers responding to emergencies and vehicle breakdowns.
According to the ministry, “86% of these assists have taken place in the paracentral zone of the country, with 8% in the western region and 6% in the eastern region.”
The “MOP Te Asiste” service remains available free of charge for all citizens throughout the vacation period. Drivers experiencing mechanical issues can request help by calling 2510-0199.
