The Embassy of El Salvador in Norway has strengthened international cooperation by supporting a historic agreement between One Team El Salvador and the Bietostølen Health and Sports Center, one of the world’s most prestigious institutions in Paralympic rehabilitation and development.
This new partnership represents a significant step toward improving opportunities and support for communities with disabilities in both El Salvador and Norway. The initiative was officially endorsed by the Salvadoran ambassador in Norway, Claudia Beltrán, during the formal signing of the agreement.

One Team El Salvador, a paramedic training and emergency response education center affiliated with the Colgan Foundation, highlighted the significance of this collaboration. “We have signed an agreement with one of the world’s leading Paralympic sports rehabilitation and development centers, which represents a step forward for disability communities in both Norway and El Salvador,” stated Rob Powers, president of One Team El Salvador.
The Bietostølen Health and Sports Center, with over 60 years of experience in serving individuals with disabilities in Norway, brings extensive expertise in both medical and sports rehabilitation.

Present at the signing was Salvadoran athlete David Chávez, a dedicated member of El Salvador’s national Paralympic teams in skiing, surfing, and climbing. His presence underscored the real-world impact this agreement could have on developing inclusive sports programs and medical training in El Salvador.
This milestone adds to El Salvador’s growing reputation as a country investing in international cooperation, health innovation, and inclusion, aligned with broader efforts by the government to elevate the country’s global partnerships and support for underserved communities.
