Developed in collaboration with the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and CAF—Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, this guide provides private investors with in-depth analysis to support informed decision-making.
Natalia Bayona, Executive Director of UNWTO, emphasized that Panama, the United States, Spain, Colombia, and Honduras are currently the top five countries investing in El Salvador.
Under the leadership of President Nayib Bukele, the government has strengthened legal security, improved the investment climate, and developed public infrastructure. These efforts have led to a surge in tourism-related investments across the country.
El Salvador has undergone a remarkable transformation over the past five years, becoming a stable, safe, and competitive destination for international investors. In 2023, the country recorded a 40.4% increase in international tourist arrivals compared to pre-pandemic levels, positioning itself as a leader in global tourism recovery.
