El Salvador’s President, Nayib Bukele, continues to lead as the highest-rated world leader, according to new data from World of Statistics. With an outstanding 91% approval rating for his government’s management, Bukele ranks first among 24 presidents analyzed worldwide.
The ranking, based on data from Morning Consult Political Intelligence, WCIOM, and Gallup, places Bukele ahead of other prominent global leaders. Following him are Russia’s Vladimir Putin (78%), India’s Narendra Modi (75%), and Mexico’s Claudia Sheinbaum (66%).

Bukele’s high approval rating is largely attributed to his transformative policies, particularly in public security. Under his leadership, El Salvador has shifted from being one of the most violent nations in the world to the safest country in the Western Hemisphere. His government has achieved a total of 845 days with zero homicides, including 22 homicide-free days in February 2025 alone.

As Bukele maintains his strong leadership and continues implementing policies that reshape El Salvador’s future, his approval rating reaffirms the overwhelming support of the Salvadoran people.
