Congresswoman Maria Salazar expressed her enthusiasm over the recent call between President Donald J. Trump and President Nayib Bukele, calling it “great news” for the United States and the entire Western Hemisphere.

In a statement, Salazar emphasized Bukele’s role as a strong ally of the U.S., particularly in the fight against transnational criminal organizations like the Tren de Aragua. She praised the trust President Trump has placed in Bukele’s leadership in tackling such dangerous groups.

“The Trump-Bukele readout is GREAT NEWS for America and for our hemisphere,” Salazar stated. “Bukele is a STRONG ally and friend of the United States. It’s great to see President Trump counting on him to END foreign terrorist organizations such as Tren de Aragua.”
