El Salvador continues to demonstrate its commitment to fostering tourism and promoting community engagement. A testament to this dedication is the upcoming 14th edition of the Ilopango Air Show, aptly named “Emotions in the Air,” scheduled for February 1st and 2nd, 2025, at the Ilopango International Airport.

This high-flying event not only promises adrenaline-packed aerial displays but also serves a noble cause: raising funds for the Intensive Care Unit of the Benjamin Bloom Children’s Hospital.
The Ilopango Air Show 2025 will feature an impressive lineup of both national and international pilots, performing breathtaking acrobatics and showcasing cutting-edge technology. The event offers a variety of activities designed to delight audiences of all ages.

The event was officially introduced by a distinguished panel comprising Francisco Sol, President of the Organizing Committee; Federico Fernández, Vice President of the Committee; Federico Anliker, President of CEPA; Alejandra Durán de Cristales, Executive Director of CORSATUR; and Dr. Ángel Alvarado, Director of the Benjamin Bloom Children’s Hospital. Anliker highlighted the event’s significant community impact, emphasizing that the proceeds will directly support the hospital’s ICU.
Spectators can look forward to awe-inspiring performances from renowned Salvadoran pilots like Carlos Dárdano, Paco Sol, Tito Gutiérrez, Fernando Viaud, Fito Miguel, and Federico Hernández, along with the Salvadoran Air Force. The event will kick off each day with a thrilling parachuting display by Tuto Wright.
Internationally acclaimed aviators such as Scott Farnsworth, known for extreme flights; Melissa Burns, an expert in challenging spins; Skip Stewart, a returning favorite; and Rich Gibson, famous for his simulated explosions, will captivate the audience. Additional performers include pilots Greeg Koontz, Martin Keller, and Maurizio Perissinotto.

The U.S. Air Force will also make a grand appearance, showcasing their formidable aircraft and helicopters. Adding a unique touch, Javier Merino will present a zeppelin and hot air balloon display.
The Ilopango Air Show 2025 offers more than just aerial spectacles. On the ground, attendees can explore aircraft exhibitions, enjoy a children’s play area, and experience live music from the New Hampshire National Band. A diverse food court will cater to all tastes. Each day will conclude with a spectacular nighttime show featuring fireworks and a dazzling drone display.
